Dr Florian

Florian is the Head the Quantum Cryptography R&D team for Cambridge Quantum Computing (CQC) and develops quantum technologies for companies and governments to enable continued data privacy and protection against the increasing threat landscape. CQC is a full stack quantum-based company, having dedicated teams that specialise in the fields of quantum chemistry, quantum artificial intelligence, and quantum optimisation for quantum computers. Florian received his PhD in Quantum Information Theory from ICFO, studying quantum correlations to perform information tasks that were previously thought impossible. Previously, Florian obtained his master’s in mathematical physics at the University of Geneva. Currently, his team works on designing novel quantum protocols for certified quantum random number generation and quantum key distribution — and the fun of proving their security!
