Martijn

Dr. Martijn Dekker was appointed Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of ABN AMRO in early 2010 and became managing director (EVP) in 2014. In his role as CISO, Martijn is responsible for defining, overseeing and implementing the information security strategy, including identity & access management, security operations and e-fraud prevention within the global ABN AMRO group. Martijn joined ABN AMRO in 1997 after completing his Ph.D. in mathematics at the University of Amsterdam. Next to his role in ABN AMRO, he is member of the security board of advisors of IBM. He is a regular keynote speaker and he is teaching IT security at University of Tilburg / TIAS school for business & society since 2012. Early 2018, he also joined the supervisory board of Stater N.V.
